Charlene J. Macri, 76, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Charlene was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frederick and Lulubelle (Johnstone) Jennings and was educated in local schools. On Ma Read Obituary
I have no personal memory of Charlene , but I know that what I saw was a gracious lady who made my cousin happy. Reading all the memories being share, I see I was correct. Please accept our condolences.

I went to high school with Charlene and Joe. I knew her casually at that time. Around 16/17 years later we found ourselves next door neighbors for several years. Our kids were friends and we continue to have contact with Joey. The last time I saw Charlene and Joe was at my husbands’s wake almost 2 years ago.
Marrying shortly after we graduated high school Joe and Charlene shared a love story for sure. My heart goes out to the entire family but especially Joe. He will have to find a way to live without the love of his life. Joey, Karen, Sarah and Kristen along with your families have my heartfelt prayers. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to live through. Know she is at peace and God Bless you all. 🙏 ❤️
To big Joe and “little” Joe and Karen and Kristen and families, I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. It is such a hard time, John’s mom died in December and it leaves a hole in your heart. I hope you can cherish all your good memories, love from Debbie (Rice) and John Edinger.
My memories of Charlene go back to when I was a kid. Going to their house which I think was in N. Syr. & running around outside & inside just to drive Joe Crazy! Charlene gave us some snacks & drinks. I remember her big blonde hair and big glasses. Charlene fulfilled a Mothers desire to be the best and then some. I believe she was selfless. Sarah is proof of that.

I'll never forget she taught me the chicken dance at Joe's wedding. She was always a caring, loving Lady.
Charlene was a wonderful giving woman who did everything for her family. I loved coming to her house around Memorial Day for picnics . She always made me feel welcome. I know how much she will be missed and how hard it will be for her family to move on without her. Love you all
