Charlene J. Macri's Obituary
Charlene J. Macri, 76, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
Charlene was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frederick and Lulubelle (Johnstone) Jennings and was educated in local schools. On March 3, 1962, Charlene was joined in matrimony to her high school sweetheart, Joseph A. Macri, and enjoyed a loving marriage of nearly 58 years. Mrs. Macri retired from Verizon after 27 years.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, Charlene is survived by her husband, Joseph, Sr.; her daughters, Karen Macri of Baldwinsville, and Kristin (Tony) Hubbard of Bedford, VA; her son, Joseph A. Jr. of Cicero; her grandchildren, Sarah, Collin, Nathan and Jacob; the family pets, Maximus and Casey James Jr.; and several cousins. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Jackie and Frederick; a sister Elizabeth; her grandson, Samuel Joseph; and nephew Christopher.
At Charlene's request, there will be no services. Family will gather in private.
The family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the emergency response team, and the doctors, nurses and supporting staff at Upstate University Hospital for their unwavering care and compassion.
