Charlie was a great person. Worked with him for many years. He was talented as a mechanic and much loved by his family members. Very sorry to hear he has passed. My condolences to his wife and family members. RIP Charlie!!!
My heart is shattered into a million pieces for my older brother Charles F. Gates IV as his name was not mentioned in his father's obituary. Hoping this correction will be made as quickly as possible so that my family may grieve & heal together a little easier . God needed another one of his angels back too soon & too young in life . I'm very thankful that my last memory of you will be seeing you at your sister VIvian's services only a few short months ago . Remembering your loving embrace of heartfelt hugs for myself, your only son & our mother amongst all the other family members . Knowing the last words we all said to each other was I love you will be a memory I will cherish to the end of my days .

It's seems there has been a typographical error in the pusbished obituary. This matter needs to be addressed immediately. The listing of Charles' own son Charles F Gates IIII was omitted from the obituary.This is immensely heartbreaking to the family to whom is already in a time of greaving .
The entire Gates family, Aunts, Uncles and cousins not mentioned knew how Chuck's Mom (Aunt Marion) and my Mother (Jean Gates) questioned who was going to have their baby that each were expecting first, Chuck or myself. Well Chuck arrived four days before me. Because we were born so close we were raised more like we were brother and sister and loved each other as if we were. My dear cousin Chuck you were loved by me dearly and will miss you terribly. I pray that your wife and family all take comfort in knowing that you indeed were loved and will be missed by so many.
