Clara (Giarrusso) Daino, age 105, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at her home in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She was born in Italy and was a loving mother and grandmother who lived for her children and grandchildren. Read Obituary
My favorite memories of " The Mom" as she was known to many are the times we had lunch at El's house and she would be waiting patiently for her cocktail. I think she enjoyed when people came and talked and shared stories with her. She was the lovliest lady I have ever known and was so adorable, friendly and totally with it more than most of us at much younger ages. She was interesting to listen to as the lord knows she has seen so very much in her lifetime. I can only hope to be as special as she is to so very many and I know I will never meet anyone quite like her again. It has been a pleasure to know her and I will always remember her for so many reasons. All of us can learn things having been exposed to this fabulous woman. El you were a very lucky person to have had her for so long and I thank you for sharing her with the rest of us. What a delight.

I hope Eleanor Daino gets this message. I trust Clara is your mother. If so, I was amazed and impressed that she has lived such a long time. You were lucky to have her. I have thought of you often and have never forgotton my days at the Nottingham firm. There never was a better secretary. And I have had some good ones. I learned a lot from you.
