To All the Delvecchio Family,
I wish to express my sincere condolences at the passing of Mr. DelVecchio. Had I seen the announcement sooner, I would have been there to grieve along with you.
I had the privilege of rendering medical care to Domenic as his primary physician on Court Street and also in the urgent care center in Cortland, NY. He was a good man, very sweet, and always appreciative when I took care of him. We had some nice discussions about our families and I know he loved his very much, especially his Bernadette.
Most notable was his pride of serving as a US Marine and his thoughtfulness in asking me about the well being of our son Adam, who is in the US Army. In fact, the first words he would speak at every encounter we had was, "How's Adam?" Domenic cared enough to always remember and to ask for him by name. That says something about the kind of man he was.
Rest in Peace, Domenic.
