Oh, what a pleasure and honor it was for ME to give care and my love to this beautiful soul. I looked forward to our time at night to make her comfortable and happy, always a kiss and hug goodnight. Yes I was the lucky one to be Dorothy's CNA at Syracuse Home. And she raised an angel as her daughter Roseanne. Always there by her side. Your heart is hurting my dear friend, but you hold your head high. You were her angel here on earth, and now she will be yours. To watch over till we all meet again. I was sincerely blessed to have known this lady most of my life - having grown up two door away. She treated me like a daughter and when my own mother passed away at the age of 15, she wept with me. Dottie treated my children Jillian and James just like one of her grandchildren. Every birthday and holiday was recognized with a card and if one of us was sick, she sent over the best chicken pastina soup. She shared many recipes and cooking tips with me and we've had many, many laughs over the years, sitting in the garage watching TV and talking. She was the center of the family and rightfully so. We will all miss her terribly but I am thankful she is at peace now and I can say with absolute certainty that I know she is in heaven looking down on us all. Dorothy, or Mother Pascale was such a great lady to me ,my friend Helene and my husband David. She shared in my sorrow when I had to have him placed in a nursing home. She made the greatest meatballs and sauce, filled with tender pork spareribs and sausage. When my mom was sick she sent some over or other occasions of celebration ,etc. I saw her as a substitute mom and I enjoyed being there for her these last few years and watching her being lovingly cared for by her daughter Roseanne. Her grandchildren respected and loved her and her great grandchildren just adored her. I will miss her and continue to pray for her. Rest in peace, mother Pascale.
