My thoughts are with the Schilling family. As I reflect, I am so very thankful for Eddie's and Dottie's many kindnesses to my family and me, and for their examples as entrepreneurs and business leaders. As I child, I remember Eddie and Dottie as our good neighbors and friends, and as team-mates and competitors as we enjoyed beach volleyball and bocce. Later, Eddie and Dottie were the source of employment as I worked my way through college. I have carried their example as business leaders who have succeeded through good times and bad, with me through my own career that has taken me to roles in business around the world. I have been very fortunate to have counted Eddie and Dottie as my friends and mentors. I bid a sorrowful farewell to Eddie and I wish my most sincere condolences to Dottie, Susanna, Lisa, and their families.

We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Schilling, which we note with deepest regrets.
Despite the distance which lay between us regionally we were in very close contact for many years and exchanged our experiences about the surgical market.
My father Karl Heinz Zimmermann and I always appreciated him very much as a capable expert.
