Elizabeth "Betty" (Lester) Dunn's Obituary
Feisty, fervent, and funny Elizabeth L. “Betty” Dunn passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on Monday, May 6, 2019. She was born on December 2, 1927 in Syracuse, NY and remained a lifelong resident within the Syracuse area. Betty had a few careers along her journey; the proudest one being a homemaker and mother to her four children. Her best work was done on the 500 block of Robineau Rd. where she thrived for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener, a friendly neighbor and a devoted wife.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Gregory P. Dunn, Sr. as well as her kind, caring daughter, Janet (Dunn) Fenner. She is survived by her son, Gregory P. Dunn, Jr. (Valerie Dunn); daughter, Suzanne Dunn (Glen Haunfelner); daughter, Colleen Dunn Coffey (Timothy Coffey); son-in-law, Andy Fenner and five grandchildren: Spencer, Lindsey and Emmett Dunn, George Haunfelner and Maeve Coffey.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Elizabeth’s life at 6:00 pm. Elizabeth will be laid to rest with her husband in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
