Esther Congel's Obituary
Esther Congel, 99, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday at Birchwood Health Care Center. She was born in Syracuse and was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Esther was employed with Gaylord Brothers for 25 years, retiring in 1977 and then worked at Congel's Dress Shop. She was an avid bowler. Esther is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Congel, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church on Thursday from 8:45 to 9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
