Frances (Ascioti) Quattrone, age 99, passed away in Sarasota, Florida. A life long resident of Solvay, she attended Syracuse University graduating in 1941, and began and ended her educational career in the Solvay School System. Sh Read Obituary

Marilyn, your Mom & Dad were the best neighbors anyone could have. I can still see my parents and yours laughing together and always having a great time when we lived across the street on Scarboro. Our family often reminisced and had some great stories about their best friends. They are such happy memories. I’m sure you have some of those memories and many more to help you through this sad time. Your Mom was so sweet, smart, caring and loving. I’m sure she will be miss by many. Our sincere condolences to you and all who were touched by your wonderful Mom.

Marilyn, on behalf of the entire Solvay High School Class of 1964 we extend our condolences on the passing of your Mom. Mrs.Quattrone was one of our favorite math teachers as we journey through our years at Intermediate School.
Marilyn, I was saddened to learn of your mother’s passing. She was the personification of elegance. She took me under her wing when I was a new teacher...my mentor before the concept was formalized in mentor programs. I so appreciated her caring and guidance..

My deepest condolences to the family. Mrs. Quattrone was my math teacher in 1963-64, and I will never forget her. She took a “math-phobic” teen and taught her that math wasn’t so scary. She was patient and kind, and she touched my life. May her lifetime of love give you comfort.
