Francesco (Frank) Battaglia, 88, of Liverpool, passed away Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family. A native of Satriano, Italy, Frank moved to the United States in 1954. He loved his garden and that was his passion. Fr Read Obituary
I was so sorry to read in the Sunday paper that the father of a good friend of mine has passed away. I did meet Mr. Battaglia when I was in high school and found him to be a sweet, kind, generous man, who, by the way, was in his garden when I did meet him (as his obituary brought out). The Battaglia family has my deepest condolences for their loss.

Being an RN for as many years as I have, there are only a few patients who remain in ones memory. Mr. Battaglia was one of those few. I remember him from my days as a Student Nurse. Always pleasant with a wonderful smile and quietly struggling through a rather long hospitalization. You can bet he is in God's presence and watching you from above. I'm sorry for your loss.
