Frederick Crittela's Obituary
Frederick Crittela, 62, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Fred was a natural born entertainer and talented chef whose warmth, generosity and cooking impacted the lives of his customers, colleagues, staff and friends. His ambition, his love of laughter and his stories will be forever cherished by his family and friends. Survivors include his children, Jennifer (Joshua) Brown and Matthew Crittela; grandchildren, Alexa and Zoe; sister, Carol Ann (Dominick) Vacca; brother, Anthony Crittela; nieces, nephews and several cousins. At Fred's request, no services will be held. Donations in Fred's memory may be made to the American Red Cross or purchase a ticket to the Great Chefs Dinner, hosted by Fred's former colleagues from the ACF.
