My deepest and sincere condolences to the Ricci Family. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ricci over 30 years ago through his son Dominic, when they were at the shoe repair shop in No. Syracuse.I used to stop in now and then and spend time there, passing time as Mr. Ricci and Dom went about taking care of customers, repairing shoes, making repairs to leather goods, and just sometimes chatting. I still recall how excited and happy he was to have actually made a pair of shoes for then President Bill Clinton! I still can see the wry grin on his face as we talked about those shoes, and he was beaming with pride!! Mr. Ricci always had a kind greeting for me,and at his home, treated me as family. I'm glad I got to have had a cold beer with him and talk, as we walked about his garden this past Fall.He was a true gentleman, and as I saw it, always had the well-being of his family in mind.May they find solace in the fond memories they shared during Mr. Ricci's life. May he rest in peace. Our best wishes for the family, Alvin and Brenda Dougall.
