Dear Marie and Family, We are so shocked at Joe's passing. Joe was one of the sweetest gentleman we knew. Our paths crossed many times between being high school classmates and GE/Lockheed Martin employees. I recall going to Turkey where Joe was stationed on Martin Marietta/Lockheed business - Joe greeted me with blown up high school pictures in the mess hall with 'funny' sayings on them. What a sense of humor. He was SO proud of his family and grandchildren. Joe was on our 50th high school reunion committee and we often ran into him when he ushered Dome or the Civic Center. I knew Joe for years through his 'event' work. I did the same for close to 28 yrs at a few of the same locations as Joe, & those shows in venues that I wasn't working or ushering, I was quite often attending...and Joe would often encourage me to work at Those venues also (I didn't want to add additional as I working Full Time in my career job)! I'm now retired for 6 1/2 yrs, & made sure I was no longer involved in Events by the time I retired, but every so often I would attend a show/ concert & cross paths w/ Joe...and that would be the highlight of the evening! Throughout all the years Joe Never Changed; to me anyway, he was Always one of the most warm, welcoming, & friendly people Ever...Truly a Blessed, Special person! His family is So Blessed by God to have had Joe in it (he knew that I always wished that I had a dad like Joe)! Joe is one whom Truly will be missed by Many, including myself, but just thinking of him brings a smile. I send my sincere condolences to Joe's wife & family. May keeping all the good memories in mind, as well as Knowing Without One Doubt that Joe is now in heaven With God, bring at least a bit of comfort.
