Grace (Ponce) Aravantinos' Obituary
Grace (Ponce) Aravantinos, 87, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022. She was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to the late Angel and Romona Ponce. In 1951, at the age of 16 she immigrated to the United States with her family. Grace was a senior stylist at Addis and Company and later the proprietor of Warren Street Beauty Salon. Grace was an avid bowler, golfer and bingo player; she had a love of life and brought energy to anything she set out to do. She was loved by her friends and family and will be missed. She was the loving wife and companion to George Aravantinos for 68 years.
In addition to her parents, Grace is predeceased by her son, Anthony Ponce and her siblings, Cristino Ponce, Emilia Ponce, Ismael Ponce, Moise, Angle Ponce, Altagracia Ponce, Cándido Ponce, Juan Ponce and Louie Ponce. She is survived by her husband, George along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Grace’s life will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00 am in St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd., Syracuse NY. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
