Jim was my dads cousin and we lived next door to the whole family for many wonderful years . I remember looking up to jim and wanting to be just like him he was a great role model and would do anything for you.
I remember he made a dirt track in the field behind the house and spent summers speeding around the track in his race car or motorcycle. I will never forget Jim taking me and Rodney to the Royal Hut for a milkshake anytime we asked. So many great memorys

Thinking about all of you. I am still in shock. Jim was able to smile and make us all laugh no matter what was going on at work. He always remained calm. He was intelligent and was always willing to share his skills and train anyone while still completing his assignments. I learned so much from him, not just skills but how to react and respond to situations. He enjoyed life and it was infectious. I was looking forward to seeing him at the retirement coffee meets when I go home for visits. I will miss seeing him there and being able to hear him share his well-deserved retirement activities with the rest of us.

I was in Clay Fire Department in the 70's through early 90's and knew "Jim Dad" well. I hung around with him a little and frequented the Tip a Few and the Tip Redue will he was tending bar with K.B.. He was a good man, a good friend and is gone way too soon. May he Rest in Peace....
Ron Curcio lit a candle in memory of James J. Balla. It is with my deepest sympathy to hear of James passing. He was a wonderful man with love for life which was taking away way too soon. We worked together at American Limousine for a short time but he won the hearts of everyone. To his family, my deepest sympathy and may he Rest In Peace.
