Jeanette E. "Jan" (Dolan) Crabtree's Obituary
Jeanette E. “Jan” (Dolan) Crabtree, 81, of Mattydale, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Jan, as her friends and family knew her, was known for her love. Born in Syracuse, Jan lived her life for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and a caring grandmother, known for her quirky stories at family gatherings. Jan worked at HSBC/Key Bank and was a lifetime member of the Twins and Triplets of CNY 211 Club. She enjoyed camping, reading, and collected dolls, Anna Lee, and Precious Moments; collections which her large family will now hold dear to their hearts.
She is predeceased by her parents, Delos and Ethel Isabel (Poune) Dolan, and sister, Martha Baka. Jan is survived by her husband of 60+ years, Lawrence “Bruce” Crabtree of Syracuse; her 5 children: Andrew (Eileen) Crabtree of Cicero, David (Marriane) Crabtree of Virginia, William (Misty) Crabtree of Arizona, Lori Poli of Mattydale, and Lawrence Crabtree of North Syracuse. She is also survived by her brother, William Dolan, and seven grandchildren: Michael (Erin) Crabtree, Vincent (Julie Heinz) Crabtree, Christopher (Tadd) Crabtree, Danielle Crabtree (Spencer Vreeland) and Christina Horner (Tom Lau), Jonathan Poli, Kimberly Poli, as well as her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all the love she had for them.
Friends and Family may call on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, followed by a brief service at 7:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
