Joanne (Ingallinera) DeShane's Obituary
Joanne (Ingallinera) DeShane passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 surrounded by her family in the home she built and loved. She was born in Syracuse to the late Giuseppe and Rosa Ingallinera.
Joanne enjoyed her family, gathering with friends, traveling, and most especially visiting her family’s home in Italy. She loved playing her lottery numbers and watching Roger Federer play tennis. She was his biggest fan. After the death of her husband she took over as the owner and operator of J. DeShane Construction and took pride in the homes that she renovated through Syracuse Community Development.
Joanne treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The sun rose and set with Anthony and Christina.
She is predeceased by her husband, John W. DeShane, Sr., and her siblings Manuel, Antoinette, George, Lucy, and John.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Anthony Jr.) Campagna of Liverpool, NY, John W. DeShane Jr. of Woodland Hills, CA, and Richard E. DeShane of Mattydale, NY; her grandchildren, Anthony (Mayadeh) Campagna III of Liverpool, NY and Christina DeShane Campagna of North Syracuse, NY; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Anthony Lupone and Giovanna Mae Campagna; her sister, Frances (Joseph) Sochia; sister-in-law, Linda (Frank) Pappalardo; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; all of whom she adored.
Joanne will always be remembered as energetic and full of life. We will raise a glass to her life and lasting memories of love and laughter she leaves behind.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd.
