Joey A. Storto's Obituary
Joey Storto, 42, of Syracuse, (native of Oswego) passed away Wednesday after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Joey was at home surrounded by loving family when God called him home.
Joey loved NASCAR. His idol was Tony Stewart. He always used to yell “Boogidy, Boogidy, Boogidy Boys”! He always enjoyed making people laugh. It seemed as though his job was to make people happy. Joey was an avid sports fan, especially football (Miami Dolphins) and basketball. However, WWE wrestling was always one of his favorites! The Ultimate Warrior was Joey’s alter ego! Not many people know but he was somewhat of a history buff too. He loved his music, cars, the outdoors, and throwing a few back with the “boys”.
Most of all Joey loved his family. His children were his life. He had many friends that were like his family too.
Joey is survived by his parents, AnnaMarie (Arthur) LaDuke and Mario (Brenda) Storto; his children; Joey A. (Desiree) Sorto Jr., Troy (Christi) Storto, Kaitlynn (Darren) Storto, Skylor (Mark) Gates, and Brennan Storto; brothers, Mario M. (Tara) Storto and Alex Storto; sisters, Maria and Angel Storto; four grandchildren, several cousins, one aunt, one uncle and four best friends; (Don, Richie, Jason and Mike).
We will always love and miss you Joey! Until we meet again…
A calling hour will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 11:00 am – 12:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Joey’s life at 1:00 PM in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
