John M. "Jack" Bozzuto, Sr.'s Obituary
Jack Bozzuto knew he would die sooner or later; he would rather it be later.
John M. Bozzuto, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, in his home of 63 years on December 11, 2020. A Korean War veteran, John also served as a police officer for the Syracuse Police Department for 32 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Genevieve Bozzuto; sister-in-law, Angeline Haffner; two brothers-in-law, Daniel and Steve Marchitello.
Jack is survived by his wife, Theresa (Lombardo) Bozzuto and three children, John Bozzuto (Evangeline), Mary Blount (Tad) and Mike Bozzuto (Stacy); five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
When asked what he is most proud of, he replied, “Marrying my wife, Theresa”.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY. Please visit www.stdaniel.com to view the mass remotely. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, December 14, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR.
