John R. Fiori's Obituary
John R. Fiori, 45, of Cicero, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 11 years, Jill (Priano) Fiori and his three children, Nicholas, 8, Joseph, 6, and Gabriella, 4. He has two sisters, Cara (John) Potamianos, and Amanda Fiori. He has three nieces, Mia, Zoe, and Cecilia, and beloved nephew of Jay Yennock. John was predeceased by his father, Robert D. Fiori and his mother, Linda Yennock Fiori.
John was a proud 1989 graduate of Solvay High School, and a 1993 graduate of Cortland College earning both a bachelors and master’s degree in education. He quickly became a teacher, working in the BOCES as well as Syracuse City School District. He was a coach and a mentor to many. John went on to work in sales within the pharmaceutical industry, followed by sales within the communication technology field, most recently being employed by McKinney Capital as a VP of Sales.
John lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed camping with his family, golfing, playing cards with his oldest friends, gardening, playing a multitude of sports, and being with his extended family for family dinners.
Friends and family may pay their respects to John's family on Monday, April 25, 2016 between the hours of 4 - 7 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Catholic Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 9:00 am at St. Daniel's Church, Lyncourt NY, followed by entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
