My mother and I are just learning of Dr. Gorman's passing. We are very sorry to hear this sad news. Dr. Gorman was my mother's gynecologist for over 30 years, and my doctor for 24 years. We both loved him. He was always so caring, and gentle. Not only did he know my mother, me, my husband, but always made a point to ask about my children, my work, and even my friends. For all the patients he must have had, he sure had a great memory. LOL. When you had an appointment with Dr. Gorman, you never made any plans for the whole day, because you might be in his office waiting for your appointment for the whole day. But he was always worth the wait!!!!! He'd always have a funny little story to tell, find interest in what you were doing at the time, or always share how his family was growing. He cherished his grandchildren and dog!!!! We as patients felt we know each of his children and his basset hound personally. As a new patient 24 years ago, I always got a kick out of Dr. Gorman's messed up hair!!! He always looked like he walked through a wind storm on his way into your examination room. Unfortunately, my last visit with Dr. Gorman is when we found a large tumor on my ovary. I know what he wanted to say, but didn't have the heart to look into my eyes and say "I think it's cancer." and it was. I knew as soon as he looked at the sonogram pictures, what he wanted to say, and I always trusted his word, and his opinions. That was the last day I ever saw Dr. Gorman. However, he pointed me in the right direction, sent me to the best doctors, and he'd be proud today that I'm cancer free for 17 months. THANK YOU DR. GORMAN for your excellent care for the past 24 years. There's no other doctor that will ever fill your shoes. I can honestly say "I LOVE YOU". Rest easy, my friend.
