John A. Licata, Sr.'s Obituary
John A. Licata, Sr., 70, of Cicero, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, peacefully at his home. He was born in Auburn, NY, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Arnone) Licata.
John was an accomplished mechanical/electrical engineer whose career included working as Vice President at CWS Packaging and later fulfilling his dream of owning his own engineering consulting firm. Above all, family was most important to John. He loved golfing and going to the casino with his wife and son, weekend dinner-and-a-movie nights with his daughter, and gathering everyone together to enjoy one of his delicious feasts. He was happiest when he spent time fishing and swimming with his granddaughter, Julia, who was his pride and joy.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert M. “Bob” Licata.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan (Kalil) Licata; his son, Dr. John A. (Nicole) Licata, Jr.; his daughter, Renee M. (Jason A. Forish) Licata; his granddaughter, Julia C. Simo; his sister, Catherine Helgerson; his sister-in-law, Nancy (Kelley) Licata; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
