To John's Parents, Family, Friends, and most especially his Wife and Daughter.
My heart breaks to hear of John's passing, and I could not believe when I heard the news. John and I were friends in high school, and I ran into him up at Clarkson with Dave Mellon and others. I always felt badly that we neglected to connect there or at subsequent reunions, as I would've loved to hear how life went, and I often asked about him. I was thrilled that John found happiness with his amazing wife and daughter, and it was great to have Facebook to see the joy and memories he created with in them. How cruel the universe is in not allowing him to be with them and enjoy the happiness he so deserved.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time, and I'll be sending along a book entitled "90 Minutes in Heaven" that often helps in times of tragic loss, and making a donation to his baby girls' fund. Please know that he made a difference in everything he touched. I'm glad that his legacy will live on. My guess is that God needed him to head up his Team, and be the amazing soul that he was.
Peace, prayers, and hopes for some sort of assistance in getting you through this nightmare. I am with you in thought today, tomorrow, and in helping you all in anyway that I can.
PS I will run my first Marathon in Nov, and am dedicating my cancer fundraising to John and another college friend who passed too young, as no one should ever have to grow up without their parent. That is the most heartbreaking part of this all.
