John Anthony "Stags" Stagnitta's Obituary
John Anthony “Stags” Stagnitta, 77, of Liverpool, passed away June 1, 2025. He was born on the Northside of Syracuse, son of the late James and Lucy (Delpriore) Stagnitta. John retired from Crane Hogan and was a member of Laborers Local 333. He was an avid golfer, lifelong Yankee fan, enjoyed going to The Turning Stone and watching horse racing. John loved to sing at family events throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Terri Stagnitta Corbishley in 2018.
John is survived by his daughter, Traci Stagnitta Fallon (John); four grandchildren, Joe (Kristen) Corbishley, Cory (Paige) Fallon, Tessa Corbishley and Emily Fallon; his sister, Louanne Stagnitta Prince; his brother, James (Judith) Stagnitta; his former wife, Nancy Wehrle Stagnitta, along with his loving extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 10 – 11:45 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 12:00 pm at the church. He will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
