I will always remeber all of the stories my dad shared with us about his adventures with Compa Joe. How blessed our families have been to have relationships that have endured for these many years and will through eternity. I was saddened to hear about Cumba Joe. He was a big part our our lives as we were growing up. I remember our trip to Florida, visits to your house in Eastwood. He always had that bright smile on his face. I know this is a difficult time for everyone, but God had a plan in heaven for Cumba Joe. Who knows, he may be teaching golf lessons or just hanging out with Cumba Trinc. I'm sure he was greeted with open arms. He will truly be missed. Dear Nellie and family - Lou and I were very sorry to hear of the passong of Joe. He was a fun guy and you never knew what he was going to do next. He had us all laughing with all his pranks. He gave me a ride to practice at Pompeii one Sunday (Pompein Players) consequently, I was almost an hour late. Fr. Charles asked what happened, and I said Joe Militi gave me a ride down. He said - say no more, I understand. Everyone knew that if Joe gave you a ride, you would never get to where you were going. He always had a smile on his face and a good word for everyone. Lost track with him through the years, but will always remember him with fond memories. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Your friends in Arizona.
