Dear Joe, Paul, Angela, Nadia, Nader & Family,
It is with fond memories that I recall your Joe and Jackie taking all of us to The Big Island for a wonderful trip in 1973. It was so much fun and Joe & Jackie really loved being in Hawaii and seeing its' beauty. Joe was very generous and so hospitable -- treating me just like one of his and Jackie's sons. I remember asking Joe for "the biggest, ice cold fruit juice in the world," after having returned from a day of sightseeing, and voila, Joe made it happen! I was amazed. And remember the "Riccardi" rum cocktail and the fun Aunt Lou and I had naming things along the road like our own Hawaiian version of our secret made up word "Kitagawa!" I'm laughing now!! Joe was also humble and, although did not overtly demonstrate his love, he showed his love in a multitude of ways -- just look at how big his Family has become. And how much he is loved by all. What a perfect time to arrive in Heaven to be with Jesus -- just in time for all of the most important events and festivities of Easter. Joe did have a wonderful life and Family. Prayers and Holy Mass will be offered by Fr. Vygintas at Sts. Peter and Paul Lithuanian Catholic Church in Darbenai, Lithuania. Kindest regards and in prayer, your friend, Edward Alan Sobolewski, Phoenix, Arizona USA.
