Joyce E. Brilbeck 's Obituary
Joyce E. (Songer) Brilbeck, 77, of East Syracuse, passed away Saturday at home unexpectedly with her family by her side. Born in Syracuse, she was employed with Verizon for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. Our loving mother was an avid reader and golfer who loved to travel. She made yearly trips to Las Vegas with her children for the past 25 years. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Brilbeck in 1994 and her sister, Theresa George. Joyce is survived by her son, David L. Brilbeck of E. Syracuse; 3 daughters, Denise (Mark) Sembrat of Liverpool, Susan (Thomas) Geruso of N. Syracuse and Bridget (Kevin) Greene of Idaho; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie and Brittany Sembrat, Lauren and Rachel Geruso, Patrick and Kerry Greene; a brother, Leonard (Sonny) Songer; 2 sisters, Kay (Joseph) Logan and Linda Mooney; also many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
