Judy Ann Tassone, 73, of Liverpool, NY, passed away on April 9, 2025, following a serious medical event earlier this year, marked by both hopeful progress and heartbreaking setbacks. Born in Syracuse on February 11, 1952, to Franc Read Obituary

I am so sorry to read this about Judy 's passing. Having known her since she married my buddy Billy we were good friends and we shared wonderful times at the bay and in Liverpool. My sincere condolences go out to you all. Rest in peace my friend Judy with Bill meeting you at the Gates in Heaven.
Judy and I met in 1992 when I left Nine Mile Point Nuclear and went to work for Niagara Mohawk Collections Services Department in downtown Syracuse. We became very good friends and spent most all of our lunch hours and breaks walking around Syracuse. If there was something going on in the area we were usually in the middle of it. We attended Lee Alexander’s wake service, stopped by a SU basketball rally, and obtained some Jim Boeheim photo’s and once followed a human blood trail all the way to St Joseph’s hospital. My husband Butch, and I spent a weekend with Judy and Bill in A-Bay a few years ago and had many good laughs. Bill took us on a golf cart ride late at night looking for a wolf that Judy and I had thought we’d seen earlier. We ended up out on the golf course and laughed so hard when the sprinklers came on and got us soaking wet. Judy was a very dear friend and I wish so much that we would have had that lunch we talked about! Memories of my friend Judy will always make me smile! Our thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful family.

Our condolences to Judy's family. Growing up next door to the whole Hughes family was such a joy. So many happy memories with her and her family. We had lots of fun. I would like to express my deepest condolences to Judy's family. I first met Judy and Jean when my best friend moved from the city to Wayland Road in '66, Judy and Jean just graduated from St. Daniels and were to start their freshman year at St. John The Baptist, and I would be starting my sophomore year at St. Lucy's. I was always touched by the love, happiness and I sure a bit of chaos that came with raising eight kids. The memories of the summer of '66, even almost 60 years after the fact, still brings me a smile. My brother lives on the 300 block of Wayland and as I drive by the old Hughes homestead I always slow down and take a moment cherish the memories of that summer.
