My wife and I had too many great meals to count in their wonderful restaurant, even invited to a couple private Chinese New Year celebrations. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there, some 25 years ago. We have just so many fond memories, even learning some Chines in exchange for helping Jenny with her English. Love, Tom & Mary
We are saddened to learn of Simon’s passing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to China Road because of Simon’s gracious welcoming. The food was incomparable! We often celebrated the birthdays of our three sons there. Our condolences to Jenny (also a wonderful host!) and family. May he rest in peace. The Pokrentowski family.

On behalf of my family, we enjoyed many years of delicious meals, including birthday, New Year’s celebrations and more. One constant was a warm greeting and check ins from Chef Simon. It was with great sadness that I read about Simon's death. He was always a warm presence at China Road, and one of the many people who helped my husband and I welcome our daughter home from China. I have some beautiful memories, and a few pictures, of wonderful times at the restaurant. Simon was kind and beautiful person. I am so sorry for your loss.
