i have just watched the episode on intervention about karissa and hearing about her passing right after was so hurtful. i hope her family is slowly healing their wounds from this tragedy. she was a kind soul and her story has reached overseas as i am writing this from Romania, as a former addict myself. may her memory be a blessing and rest in peace! i wish nothing but strength to your family.
Reading on Karissa's passing, and wanted to reach out and share my gratitude for her kindnesss, heart, and beautiful soul. She's touched so many with her warm heart and kind smile - she'll be missed!
I first met karissa when we were 15 we became real close for a little while and then i moved and we lost contact for a few years i was cruahed to hear of her passing i have a lot of memories with her karissa may you rest in peace im so sorry i lost contact with you i love you and will truly miss you sleep easy karissa hilts "dickie"
I am just learning of Karissa’s passing. I am terribly sorry for your loss. Her story touched my heart and I feel extremely saddened to learn of her unfortunate fate. Her soul will live on forever and she has many people who love her and who she inspiried! I am from New York as well and saw her story on Intervention and there was just something special about her that captured your soul!
I am Rosie frin NYC and i am terribly sorry for the loss of your daughter Karissa she was a beautiful person I watched her episode of Intervention I was glad she got sober but now my heart is broken that she did not make it to 30 and achieve long tern sobriety. I can not begin to tell you how very sorry I am for the loss of Karissa. I just watched the repeat episode of Intervention last night and immediately wanted to know how I could find out how Karissa was doing. I don't even know this young woman, yet I felt drawn to her personality as I have a daughter the same age. She had an infectious personality; how could you not be drawn to her. Her traumatic childhood tore at my heartstrings as it was so evident as she tried to talk about it, how much pain she was in. I was so hoping that she would remain sober and live the life she deserved to live. How ironic for her life to end the way it did. I will keep your family in my prayers and know that Karissa is watching down on you, the diner and your family.

I didn't know you personally Karissa but I saw your episode and being a recovering addict myself I felt like I knew you and understood you. You may be gone but you will cont. to help countless addicts and I want to thank you and your friends and family for the courage to step out of the shadows to show others they are not alone in this fight. Life may not make much sense moving forward it is only when we look back that we see how it's all connected... it's then we see the big picture... God bless you and your family
I am so saddened/heartbroken to find out the good lord took Karissa to his safe haven! I only wish I had a opportunity to meet her. Her intervention was something else. So sad to hear her life was taken by a hit & run driver. Sending prayers and big hugs out to all her friends and family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Karissa, or your family, but I felt like I got a chance to know you a little through the show. You have a lovely family. Tragedy struck in our family due to addiction...I was happy to know that Karissa got help. You can tell that she type of person that people gravitate towards....an old soul. My heart breaks for your family....you are in my prayers.
