Scott and Wendy--I was so sad to read about your Dad's passing in the paper. A flood of wonderful memories came back in an instant...how much fun we all had trap shooting for fun and honor, snowmobiling where we had no business being (including soft ice on Oneida Lake), eating steak and steamers at Borio's, playing pinochle and poker until our eyes drooped, watching you two grow up, and generally raising hell, but in a good way:-) Karl was a great friend, a very talented woodworker, refinisher, and upholsterer (I have handsome examples of his work), and a damn good trap shooter. He loved a good joke (the more ribald the better) and definitely knew where he stood on issues. There was no "gray" about him. Only black and white. I'll miss him, and wish that the years hadn't put so much distance between us, all those good times and his last days. But so it goes, I'm afraid. I hope you are at peace with your Dad's death and that you will enjoy the memories for a long time to come. Melanie (Rich)
Scott and Kelly: I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. While I never met him, I've heard a lot of nice things about him. He will certainly be missed.
Our deepest sympathy to your family. Karl was a great man and beautiful friend to My Mother, Carol.
His kindness poured out to us all, even hundreds of miles away to the South in Georgia.
He is already greatly missed, and will forever be loved in our hearts.
Michelle Monteleone and Family.
Scott and Kelly - We were fortunate to know Karl for many, many years. He was opinionated, funny and someone who would give you the shirt off his back. He was always willing to lend a hand when needed. One thing was for sure, he always did things his way. Karl was also a "book of knowledge" on many topics and could talk about anything with anyone. You didn't always agree with him, but you always knew where you stood!! He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dick and Teri Martin
