Karl H. Wenger's Obituary
Karl H. Wenger, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Kirkville, NY on February 28. He was a 1956 graduate of North Syracuse High School, and the beloved only son of Christian K. and Dorothy B. Wenger. Karl was a craftsman, who, along with his father, took great pride in owning his antiques restoration, upholstery and refinishing business. He was a former Marine and an avid trap shooter. He served as past president of the CNY Trap league, Log Cabin Trap Club and Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club.
Karl's passions included American military history and sports. He was a rabid NY Yankees and SU basketball fan. He loved a great steak, a cheap beer, a good game of pitch and rollicking conversation. Never shy about speaking his mind, if you weren't aware of Karl's stance on a topic, you simply weren't listening. His hearty laugh, loving heart, generous soul and beautiful singing voice will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Karl leaves behind his son, Christian Scott Wenger (Kelly) of Cicero, NY; his daughter, Wendy Stolp (Tony) of Marcellus, NY; his granddaughter, Jaime McKenzie (Aaron) of Naples, Florida; his grandson, Christian Scott Jr. (Katie) of Cicero, NY; his great-grandson, Christian Scott III and grand-dogs, Annie, Lucy, Reagan and Buster.
A private memorial service will be held. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., E. Syr., NY.
