Kathleen (O'Connor) Rice's Obituary
Kathleen (O’Connor) Rice, 79, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Francis and Kathleen (Davidson) O’Connor. Kathy worked in operations for Chase Bank, donated her time to North Area Meals on Wheels, and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse. She took great pride in maintaining a beautiful home and cherished spending time with her family; Kathy especially enjoyed attending downtown festivals, the state fair, and SU football and Syracuse Mets games. She also loved listening to music, dancing, shopping, and solving crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Gary Rice in 2021 and her brothers, Thomas and Donald O’Connor.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Deborah (John) Edinger and Suzanne Robinson (Michael McNamara); her grandchildren, Connor, Ryan, and Erin Edinger and Morgan Robinson; her siblings, Barbara (Gary) Albro, Robert O’Connor, and Joyce (Ray) Muldoon; along with several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Kathy’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Assumption Cemetery.
