Rosemary Agonito
I worked for Kate at Edwards Department Store in the 1950s and 60s while I was in high school and college. I reconnected with her during recent years before she got very ill - I had written about her in one of my books. She was such a wonderful woman who helped me in so many ways - a kind boss, a strong role model, and a friend who went out of her way to support me, the daughter of Italian immigrants. I consider myself so very fortunate to have known her and I will never forget her. Kate was one of a kind - a strong business woman at a time when women were struggling to be recognized!
