Larry J. Romano, 100, passed away on December 3, 2018. He was born in Caulonia, Italy on April 12, 1918 and came to America with his mother and sister. He joined the Army in 1941 and after the attack on Pearl Harbor, was sent to t Read Obituary
Tardy, but I hope not so much that this message doesn't reach Larry's family:
Condolences from the Flaherty family to a swell guy, a true warrior and almost a
relative because of the marriage of my big brother Tom to his little sister Viola so
many years ago. Fond memories of meeting the Romano's that day. Larry and Tom
spent many, I'm sure, long, lonely and scary days at that Port Moresby base during
the Big One. "Thanks" seems hardly enough when trying to express the gratitude of
our family to Larry for bringing Viola and Tom together who, in turn, brought four
wonderful children into this world, one of whom I was with in Yuba City, CA on
December 2nd, the day before Larry left us at age 100. What a wonderful life.
