My mother was Nancy DeFoster, Margaret's godchild. It was through Margaret that I met Laura. I remember her being called Lil and all those years I thought her name was Lily. I remember a quiet, soft spoken woman with a gentle manner. She seemed devoted to Margaret. My mother loved them both, and some of my fondest memories are of going with my mother to visit "the ladies". My sincere sympathy to her family. May she rest in peace.
