Nan, we are deeply sorry about the loss of your beloved Leon. He was a kind and wonderful man, and you are so fortunate to have spent so many years at his side.
After Ren passed away, you and Leon were so supportive, even delivering to us a magnificent Italian feast. We enjoyed several fine meals from that act of generosity, and it was a great comfort during those dark days of shock and grief.
While loss holds the potential to diminish us, its sting can also serve as a reminder of those who are no longer with us, the joy they brought, and the love they inspired. Nan, we hope that your love for Leon and the memories you hold dear will sustain you through this difficult time and the many years to come.
My years at ESM would not have been complete without Mr. Haar. My first day at the senior high school, I remember hearing that Shakespearean voice and diction on the morning announcements, and I thought: "Wow, this is the big time. I'm not in junior high anymore!". I was fortunate to be directed by Mr. Haar in several theatrical productions, which I enjoyed immensely. He also had a way of making us feel like real actors when he said things like "We are opposite F-M tonight." or "This is the first time this play has ever been performed at a high school." I really learned alot from writing those fictional mini -bios for the characters I was portraying. It really helped me to get into character. Years later, I was reading an article in which a professional Hollywood actor was expounding on this technique. Well all of Mr. Haar's actors and actresses were already doing this in high school. He was truly an amazing director/ teacher. He also has a wonderful family. I will be praying for you all.
Precious Aunt Nan and cousins Patrick, Maria and Maddy my heart cannot express the great sadness I feel for your loss! For all our loss! Your wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an awesome drama teacher and a wonderful role model for young men growing up at ESM. I'm sure he's directing theater from above.

Dear Naan and Patrick....I was saddened to hear of Leon's passing......and I will have some masses said for the repose of his soul. I keep all of you in my prayers and trust that Leon's faith has been rewarded by christ his savior. You will see your loved one again because love is stronger than death.
