Linda (Cordone) Melfi's Obituary
Linda (Cordone) Melfi, age 64, of North Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at the Francis House surrounded by her family and friends.
Linda was a life-long resident of North Syracuse and was a graduate of North Syracuse High School. She retired from General Electric in 1993 after working there for over 25 years.
Linda was a very special person to so many and was especially fond of her 14 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. She was always surrounded by family and life-long friends who were blessed to have known her wonderful sense of humor, her caring nature and her love of laugher and sharing stories. Linda loved to cook and spend time in her garden. Her memory will never be gone. She will be loved always. Linda, you will be in our hearts forever and until we see you again.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Melfi and loving son, Steven A. Melfi. She was the daughter of Anthony Cordone of Boca Raton, Florida and the late Mary (DeStefano) Cordone and sister of Josephine Cordone (Boca Raton, FL) , Anthony Cordone Jr. (Port Richey, FL), Michele Cordone Johnson (Danville, CA) and Mark (Carol) Cordone (San Ramon, CA). Linda is also survived by her in-laws, Henrietta & Joe Melfi (Liverpool, NY), brothers & sisters-in-law, Joseph and Ginny Melfi and John & Sharon Melfi
A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 12 to 3 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
