Lucien M. Maley's Obituary
Lucien M. Maley, 72, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Liverpool High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Brockport and served in the Army Reserves for six years. He met his wife, Deborah, while working for the City of Syracuse. They married in 1979 and raised their family in Jamesville, NY. Lucien had a rewarding career in car sales, working for several dealerships including Sam Dell, Romano, Lowery, Backus Ford and Fuccillo. He retired after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean with his wife and daughters.
He is predeceased by his mother, Lucienne (Varlet) Maley, and father, Lucien P. Maley; along with his sister, Anita Maley and grandmother, Hermine Varlet.
Lucien is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah (Michlovitch) Maley; two daughters, Kristina Maley and Kimberly (Holden) Dickinson; cherished granddaughter, Lucienne Ruth Dickinson; sister, Donna (Keith) Nelipowitz; two nephews and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. He will be laid to rest privately in Assumption Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
