I am sorry for your loss. I know family meant the world to her. I am a proud former student of Mrs. Caruso from CCBI. I graduated on June 8, 1985. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. I learned a lot from her. She truly loved people and the job she was doing. She made me feel like our relationship was more than just student and teacher but closer to friend. I have thought of her often over the years. I live in TN now with my husband and 2 children. I know she touched many lives and Heaven will be a brighter place now that she is there.

Lucy was my teacher, co-worker but most importantly my friend. We haven't seen each other in a few years unfortunately but I will always have great memories of her. One of my favorites is when I first met her and we fell into one of those Abbott and Costello moments when she asked if I was going to the "potty", I said no, she asked "why not?", I said I don't have to go and this went on for a couple of minutes until I asked her to spell "potty". She looked at me as if I was out of my mind and said "p-a-r-t-y". Of course the laughter started until we were both crying and clutching our sides. I will miss the accent, the warmth of her spirit and her smile. Good-bye my friend, you will be always in my heart. Always remember and take comfort in knowing that although you will not be able to "see" your mother/grandmother/aunt/sister in the way you once did, she will be right there in the midst of all that is happening with her beautiful children, whom she loved, her most precious grandchildren, whom she adored, and you, Marie, whom she shared a very special bond that will not be broken. Never will a moment go by that she is not laughing, singing, dancing and loving all of you in her new "life" which she has now been blessed to see and enjoy in sheer ecstasy.
Sadly, we didn't share time with Lucy this past year in Florida,..the reason being exactly what she will be remembered most fondly for...her devotion to her grandchildren whom she loved so much that she shortened her stay here to be back with them.
May you all be proud of the many wonderful and unselfish accomplishments this beautiful daughter of God has achieved and will continue to oversee for all eternity.

Dear Frank, We were so sorry to learn of the passing of your Mom. She had a hard life but from the video, it looks like she had many friends to share her ups and downs with. For that your sisters and you can be grateful. She must have been very joyful to come to know Brianna and Teagan. as new additions to the family tree toward the end of her life. I had the pleasure of working with Lucy many years ago at CCBI. I learned some valuable life lessons from her that I truly live by. Although we didn't see each other after CCBI, I will always remember her fondly as a kind spirit. My sincere condolences to the family. Cherish the memories.
