Marguerite "Margie" Valentino's Obituary
Marguerite “Margie” Valentino, 57, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2019 at Upstate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She spent her life in Syracuse and Liverpool and most recently, Rome, NY. Margie loved country music and watching detective police dramas such as CSI and Law & Order. Margie was born with Cerebral Palsy and was known to be very outspoken when it came to the rights of the disabled. Her physical limits were overshadowed by her heart and compassion for others. She was very proud and honored to be featured in a book written by Dick Case. Margie was very loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Judith (Carruth) Valentino of Baldwinsville; two brothers, Joseph (Lynne) Valentino of Baldwinsville and Daniel (Phillina) Valentino of Maryland; her nephew, Austin Valentino; two nieces, Alexis Valentino-Capurso and Bianca Valentino, as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Many thanks to all her caregivers throughout the ARC community during her lifetime.
Private family services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
