Uncle Mario & Phil would always give whatever boyfriend I had at the time the worst case of 3rd degree in all of mankind lol, along with every girl in the family I'm sure. Mario was genuinely a beautiful person inside & out. I remember how he drove all the way just to see me graduate, & how proud he was when I made the decision to attend his Alma Mater SLU. I remember spending countless hours with him while Zizi was in the hospital before she passed. I remember our train ride to Florida for Trent's wedding, his dear friend Mike Nesci brought us dozens of Dunkin doughnuts in the wee hours of the morning. I remember calling him one night in high school for his expertise on a history paper, I learned all I needed to know about the Vietnam War in that one conversation. He was not only a teacher of history but also of life. He was always glowing with that infamous smile, I can't think of anyone who loved being around his family more than he did. He just loved people in general, & I never once heard him say anything negative about anyone. He always saw the good in people. He could relate to anyone on any level, & would just strike up conversations with complete strangers & totally engulf them by the stories he would tell. He was not the kind of person who would want people to be living in sorrow over his passing, but rather revel in the joy of his memory. I, for one, plan on following in the footsteps of his legacy. I love you Uncle Mario. Always, Grace
