Mark Francis Quilter's Obituary
Mark Francis Quilter, 69, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 27, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Syracuse, son of the late Thomas and Rose (Eggleston) Quilter, he obtained his bachelor’s degree and later went on to become a financial credit manager for Arcadis in Syracuse. Mark was a devout catholic and communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was an extraordinary golfer with 6 career holes in one, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda (Lampasona) Quilter; 4 children, Sean (Kristen) Quilter, Erin (Ashley) Ennis, Katy (Fred) Quilter-Carr, and Kerry (Jerry) Dougherty; 8 grandchildren, Cameron, Grayson, Teagan, Riley, Thomas, Henry, Maxson, Lillian, and 1 grandchild on the way; 5 siblings, Sr. RoseMarie Quilter, Thomas J. Quilter, Jr., J. David Quilter, Mary Margaret Mia, and Anne Niland; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his dog, Holly.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 S. Main St., North Syracuse. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212.
