I have known Mary as a second cousin of my mom’s, a neighbor, and the mother of one of my best friends, Kathy.
Throughout my life Mary helped me navigate all three of those areas. She always welcomed me into her home for visits and delicious meals. She would sit on our front steps in Lyncourt and visit with my mom. I loved to hear her laugh.
As we both got older, and one by one her generation passed, she was the person that I went to when I had questions about the family members that we had in common who were no longer with us. She would relate so many, many stories of former times and events, most often with joy and happiness.
I will miss our talks, Mary. You will alway remain an important part of my life.
