Mary (Lampreda) Emmi's Obituary
Mary (Lampreda) Emmi, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday comforted by her family. Mary was a wonderful and thoughtful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who truly loved her entire family. Mary was the office manager for Silver Star Stores for 25 years, after which she became the tax manager for McLane Northeast, retiring in 1988. She was delighted to be named "employee of the year" in 1987 at McLane. Mary was also the vice president and bookkeeper for Kress Leader Pharmacy until she was 87. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore and her son, Richard. She was also predeceased by her father, Joseph; mother, Adeline; brother, Peter and sisters, Antoinette, Ida, Anita and daughters-in-law, Debbie Emmi and Tammy Emmi. Mary is survived by her son, Angelo (Lana) Emmi; grandchildren, Jeffery (Denise) Emmi, Jennifer (Tim) Brazell, Juliana (Marc) Herron and Joshua Emmi and great granddaughter, Annalisa Emmi. She is also survived by her sisters, Angie Lampreda, Julia Loperfido and Rita Lampreda along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to her caregivers, Lexcy, Vicky, Mary and Charlene who provided special care to Mary every day.
