Mary Romano's Obituary
Mary Romano, 96, of Solvay, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2019. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Clemente) Romano. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Rose Lombardo, John Romano, Helen Pirro, Anthony “Chappy” Romano, Natalie Campanile, Catherine Tarolli, Joseph T. Romano, and three nephews, Anthony Lombardo, Peter M. Baichi and Joseph “Joey” Romano.
Mary is survived by her sister, Lucy DeLuca; brother-in-law, Dr. Emmanuel Campanile; sister-in-law, Bonnie Romano, along with many special nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Mary was a career woman for over 40 years with the Internal Revenue Service. She continued working after retirement in various family businesses. Mary enjoyed her church “family” at First Christian Assembly, where she was a communicant, participating in all services, picnics and outings. She was an avid piano player and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad.
