Today we said goodbye to a very, very special woman, Mary Surace. Her family did a beautiful job of remembrance with the pictures, the video, and the readings at church.. She also was a second mom to me and Carmen is like a dad to me. Known them for about 55 years. I have a lot of good memories of spending time at their house on Catherine Street, then when they moved to North Syracuse.. I can name many many memories, but the one that always sticks to me, is when 21 years ago, my mom passed.. They were there, every step of the way.. But, I had to go into the hospital day after my mom's funeral. I had cried myself to sleep, missing my mom.. and was in a deep sleep. I opened my eyes and there was Mary and Carmen sitting on my bedside to help me get through it all.. Mary I will always love you and will miss you more than anyone knows. Say hi to Melanie up there, and so glad you will finally know where she has been.. Love to the family, for always including me, and esp. to Danielle, for doing my mom's hair the day she was getting her last rights. So many memories..of all of them...and I thank you for them all. Michele.. You my best friend, know, although I am a PITA, I am always here for you, and your family... Someday, I will stop crying, but my heart breaks... LOVE TO ALL OF THE SURACE FAMILY, and each one of you, look up, she will always be looking down on you, and watching the family grow.. My heart and prayers, esp. to Carmen.. love you, your other daughter. Sharon 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜💜💜💜
