Ella Mae & wish to relay our condolences to all the family...
Let me start out by saying that if you were lucky enough to be a family member or friend you always knew that this was one special lady. I was honored to call her Godmother as well as Aunt. Our love for her was without limits & her love back was unconditional. She showed it by welcoming any & all to her East Division Street home with an open door policy. Once in, you would be greeted with a lively banter that only she could provide, hands down the best coffee to be had in all of Syracuse, cookies, pastries & Italian dishes that she just seemed to pull out of thin air & of course the laughter. If you were their on New Years Eve to help celebrate Uncle Tony's birthday (that was a beloved annual tradition for us) you would see the dining room table bursting with all manner of food & yes all prepared by this amazing cook. It will always make me smile when I remember the fun of seeing my Mom & Aunt Rosemary carrying on when they were together, the female version of the 3 stooges for sure. Ella Mae & I have gained a great deal of respect for ageing, because after interacting with Aunt Mary these last few years we are sure she could be the cover girl for AARP because of her strength, wisdom & grace.
