Minnie (Maiorano) Fragola's Obituary
Minnie (Maiorano) Fragola, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at the young age of 93. She was devoted to her family; and her extended family and friends thought of her as their own grandmother.
Minnie’s greatest joy was watching everyone enjoy her famous sauce and meatballs, which were like no other! She was an enthusiastic bowler long into her later years, enjoyed senior travel trips, and treasured family vacations. Minnie was also a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Maiorano; her husband Samuel Fragola; and a brother, Carmen Maiorano.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Robert) Shortt, of Liverpool; her son, Samuel (Teresa) Fragola, of Pompey; three grandsons, Theodore Baldini, John Baldini and Samuel Fragola; one great-grandson, Evan Baldini; her sister, Corina (Alan) Jones, of Arizona; and her brother, Anthony Maiorano, of California.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Minnie’s life will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Minnie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Samuel, at Woodlawn Cemetery following the funeral service. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
